About Us

The Department of General Culture Courses was established by the decision of the Executive Board of the Council of Higher Education on June 20, 2000, and operates as a service‑courses unit under the Rectorate.

In addition to the compulsory courses that undergraduate students must take—Turkish Language I–II, Turkish for International Students I–II, Atatürk’s Principles and History of Revolution I–II, History of the Turkish Revolution for International Students I–II, Career Planning and Development, and Communication and Management Skills for Engineers—the department also offers non‑technical elective courses for both undergraduate and graduate students.
