ART 202 – Painting Art

Course Content:

1. To comprehend the importance of the art of painting, a branch of fine arts, in personal development and its interdisciplinary significance.

2. To develop visual communication skills and a multidimensional perspective.

3. To acquire knowledge and skills in the art of painting by learning its fundamental working methods.

4. To learn the basic principles and elements of visual organization in the art of painting.

5. To be able to create reproduction and original painting studies using technical materials of painting such as acrylic, pastel, oil, and gouache.

6. To learn genres of painting such as landscape, still life, and figurative art, and to be able to paint at an introductory level in these genres.

7. To develop the ability for theoretical and conceptual thinking.
