Dr. Mahmut Sözer received his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Architecture at İzmir Institute of Technology in 2024. He earned his M.A. in Music Technology from Dokuz Eylül University Graduate School of Fine Arts in 2016 and his Associate Degree from Ege University State Conservatory of Turkish Music in 2008. He completed his undergraduate studies in Mining Engineering at Middle East Technical University in 1997. His research interests include acoustic engineering, music technology, and traditional Turkish art music. He currently works as a part-time Lecturer in the Department of General Culture Courses at İzmir Institute of Technology. Dr. Sözer has served as a Composer and Producer in various music projects and has produced music for numerous short films and promotional videos. Notable works include *Sonsuza Dek 23 Nisan* (2023) and *Dünya Çocuklarla Güzel* (2022). Additionally, he won first prize in the 11th TRT Çocuk Şarkıları Beste Yarışması in 2013.
