Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ozan Uştuk received his B.A. in Sociology from Hacettepe University in 2009, his M.A. in Anthropology from Hacettepe University in 2012, and his Ph.D. in Communication Sciences from Hacettepe University in 2019. His doctoral dissertation is titled “Emek Pazarı ve Kimliklenme İlişkisi: İzmir Urla Sıra Mahallesi Romanları Örneği.” His research focuses on socio-economic structures, cultural studies, group dynamics, urban culture, and communication.
Since 2022, he has been serving as Assoc. Professor in the Department of General Culture Courses at İzmir Institute of Technology. He has also acted as the academic advisor for the Anthropology Society since 2014 and for the Community Volunteers Society since 2024. Uştuk has published numerous articles in international and national peer-reviewed journals, contributed chapters to various books, and presented papers at international scientific conferences.
