General Culture Courses Department offers mandatory and non-technical elective kind of courses which exist in the  under-graduate curricula of all departments in our institute. While main mandatory courses are “Turkish Language” and “History of the Turkish Revolution”, non-technical elective courses are in large specturum covering human sciences, foreign languages, music, fine arts, dance, sports, etc.

Non-technical elective courses are intended to serve in meeting the following objectives of the education of the students:

• To be exposed to other disciplines than that of their department,
• To have sound communication skills required with other professionals,
• To be aware of their humanistic, social and environmental responsibilities,
• To use these knowledge in their analytical thinking and decision making processes.
